Fixation is the name of a process where textile products are placed in an oven or similar and exposed to high temperature. For products that undergo a dyeing process, fixation is included as part of the process when the color is stabilized. Even products that are not dyed can be processed with the aim of obtaining a stiffer product, by many perceived as a quality improvement.
